Not Much Interesting, Including Dev Chats

by Ray Yu on June 19th, 2007

There have been much interesting lately. I still follow my usual dough of blogs and news sites every day about MMOGs and Software and haven’t found much to link to. I am also spending a lot of time at Game-BluePrints.com, contributing my designs. It’s really fun!

Last night’s The Sims Online dev chat, first in a few years, was rather lackluster. I do know better and I know what to expect in these chats. Then again, I am always hopeful.

One good thing to come out of it was, they ARE thinking about upgrading to The Sims 2 graphics engine for TSO, but only after economy fixes and custom content. I suppose they are higher priorities, but a part of me think that we will get the TS2 engine in 20 years…

Sometimes, I wish the dev chats were just a rambling sessions between the developers about the state of the game. I would have LOVED to hear those discussions. Alas, dev chats are PR sessions, where the company picks the questions they want/can answer. It’s the same everywhere, every dev chat (with a few exceptions). I will keep going to them though, because usually in an hour of such, you get one or two new details.

What happened to your sims house design website?

  2. I switched domain for that site and haven’t had a chance to put it back up yet. I really should though. I still have the screenshots!

  4. Hi! Have you seen this page where you can help to suggest how to make the next dev chat better?

  5. I have not! I will definitely be contributing to it :)
